Indeed - a VERY nice, clean stock SVO.

That was the Colonel's car previously. It was nice to see it fetch that hefty price tag.
There's nothing more to see here, now move along...

JimCrafters got himself a nice car! Following SVO's from day 1 the chrome wheels just don't look right. Funny how your eyes are trained to expect to see something and when it's not there or different it stands out. Most people viewing the car probably have no idea.
It's a beauty!!
Beatiful Car, should have sold for more $

I almost bought that car from the original owner back in 2001. It had +-8,000 miles on it.
There was a factory defect that he indicated to me at the time on the drivers front quarter.
The car had non polished rims - I think they look way better.

Someone knew how to polish that underside clean. More 2001 pics

So looking at the title/registration reports from "Bring a Trailer", refreshed my memory. The person who originally owned the car was a Ford employee who didn't register the car originally (looks like not until 1996). The Bill of sale indicates the John D. South was the original owner. This may be or a partner in the car with the person I spoke with - Brian Tone. Brain tracked cars in AI and owned a Red 93 Cobra R that he raced when I caught up with him when this car was for sale by him. The year must have been 2000, as the registration reports indicate 1996-2000 was the first owner. He then sold it to someone who had dibbs on the car a day before me. This person bought the car and it looks like he ended up selling it to the Colonel in 2001. There were some corrections made on the title in the 2001 era. I think the Colonel did all the marvelous polishing.
Here is an old post (2004) with info on Brian Tone. Maybe someone knows him? https://www.svtcobraclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7261
HTH or just interesting info...
