    Master cylinder color

Going through my brakes front to rear completely. I have picked up a rebuilt master cylinder and the old one was nasty and no telling what color it was in '84. Any advise here or just go with what I like?

    Thanks,
    DC

It was just a cast aluminum finish and not painted.

NOTE: the bore is anodized so DO NOT hone it.

I have seen some new replacements in cast iron. Pretty sure they were not original so I passed on them.

It is hard to find a good aluminum rebuilt unit. I would go cast iron and be safe. You can paint it dull aluminum if your after a concourse look.

Bonanza.com shows a Napa brand in aluminum. Reman.
