    Turbo Torque Specs

Hi All, just got a new turbo and I want to get the housings ceramic coated. Was wondering where I might find the torque specs for the bolts that hold the compressor housing to the CHRA and also the turbine housing and wastegate housing.

They are all 8x1mm threads. So all of them go to 10-15 Ft-Lbs. Not particularly critical, except the outlet elbow bolts (5 of them on the Fords) which go to 12-15 Ft-Lbs.

BE SURE to use a high-temp anti-seize lube on the hot bolts.

    Yeah, get an inch-pound torque wrench (30-250 inch-Lbs) and learn to convert 10 (120) - 15 (180) Ft-Lbs (to inch-lbs). Much more better.

Put some Loctite 242 (or equiv) on the short compressor housing bolts (6 total) and high-temp anti-seize on the hot bolts (6 and 5 total).
