    Antenna color

I am redoing my 84 and 86 trim. I know the 84 was semi gloss black from the factory and the 86 was grey. My question is were the factory antennas painted over chrome or colored only? I needed one and got one out of the JY (Chrome) but the trim plate is pitted and am considering buying one from a Restoration place if they are solid and won't peel down the road. Thanks

The 86 ant was a matte black color. Not too sure about the 84.

in 84 it was a semi-gloss black, AFAIK same for all years of SVO.

    Photographic evidence attached.

Is the rear bumper painted black below the trim or is that just a shadow?

Krylon Semi-gloss or Semi-flat black (can't remember which) is a perfect match for the black trim. Krylon quit making it a few years back but Grainger had it a while back. Sure a bunch cheaper than the other paints out there (Eastwood, ect.)

I've found walmart brand semi flat black works also. Around here they stopped carrying the regular and now only have it in their "rust tough" kind. Been using it on my 93 to get the trim looking good to sell it when the 2010 GT gets here. I have been using it for the past couple years on various parts of it and it seems to weather pretty well.
