Well I plan on stretching the tires a little and I'll roll the fenders
Update:
I had been asking questions about using the 17" x 8" Cobra wheels all around (F8ZZ Ford part no.) all silver.....
They fit perfectly, no machining on the hubs at all. Used SVO lug nuts and the Cobra center caps. Used 245/45/17 tires all around. The clearance on the front is perfect even using the 'B' lowering springs. My locking lug nut was the over ride type so did not fit the center cap hole - could have dremmeled the hole. The smaller locking nut would have worked fine. The silver wheel looks good on the silver car. Also painted the calipers w/ high heat paint. Brakes certainly ventilate now.............
Note the 245/45-17 outer diameter is slightly larger than the stock 225/50-16. Iirc a 245/40-17 is very close to the stock tyre diameter.

I wish I had a crew of SVO's to mob around with lol.
What do you guys think about the fitment of the 2013-14 V6 premium wheel? 17x7. I'm still trying to find the exact offset and backspace on these.

Those wheels are probably 39mm/5.54".

Darn. was hoping for closer to the '05+ bullit wheel BS.
Has anyone successfully used Weld drag wheels on a stock suspension? I don't mind going to 15" rim as drag radials are easier to find...the backspace seems to not be SVO friendly....
Yep, been there and done that. Back when I drag raced my SVO (most of the 90's), I had a set of slicks/skinnies on Draglites that I used for a couple of summers. I had 15x3.5's up front and 15x7's out back. The rears had the 5.5" backspacing and cleared the stock calipers just fine. The slicks were Mickey Thompson ET Drags in 26x8.5 and the skinnies were Nova 165R15's. They got me into the high 1.7's for 60ft, fun stuff at the time.

Thanks for info and pics! I was under the impression that 5.5" backspacing was not enough but your pics prove otherwise. I also have a 86 1C.
Did you ever try the 15x7 rim on the front just to check clearance?
Will these fit? They are strong.Steel wheels.jpgBridgestone tire.jpg

I got a set of Motegi MR128's 16x7 5.77bs 45mm offset. Had a brand new set of stock size g-Force radials so I stayed with 16"s.
So here are some wheels I have been looking at based on these numbers....
Stock svo specs
size 16x7
bolt pattern 5x114.3
back spacing 5.625"
Offset +43mm
hub hole 70.3mm
With these numbers in mind I have found these....

Personally I'm tempted to try the Konig or the avid.1's
I'm a huge fan of both styles, but the AVID's have a little more win for me. I like that the spokes are thicker without being tapered.

Ya they kind remind me of the roh zr6 that look oh so good on the svo's.
