I am running 245/45/17 tires mounted on 2005 Bullitts on my 84 and they fit like a glove with no rubbing even on hard turns & bumps.
The only problem is the front cap doesn't fit without modifications.

The problem I never fix on my cars is the nut that holds the steering wheel
I know that wheels are a common problem with the svo so I went off all the forums i could find about wheels that fit and i think that i found some that I like and im pretty sure will fit but i figured i would run them by the professionals before i buy them.
Will these fit my 1985.5 svo

i've heard it said over and over that svo's are hard to fit wheels on.
i'm here to say that it's simply not true. as long as you get the correct offset these cars can run 9" front and and probably 10" in the back, although i have a 9" square setup. maybe very large tires in the front isn't doable .
i'm running 17x9 +35 offset wheels and they fit really nicely. 245/40/17 tires.
edit: this is with stock geometry suspension. i even have front coilovers which reduces inboard clearance by about .5", so you could even still go bigger.
Wrench-A-Part down on HWY71 has them on a very regular basis, just make a regular trips down here
But seriously, they have an on line inventory that is 99.9% correct all the time:

Now as for wheels and tires, here's my 1985.5 SVO with 255-50-16's on stock wheels:
Here is the 1986 SVO with the "Waffle" 1995 GT wheels, with incorrect 225-55-16's:
And I just bought Todd Covini's wheels off his American Iron car. I'll see if I can get a better picture of them:

Anyone happen to have a hub easily accessible? Looking for this measurement for a potential wheel fit (without having to drive over to storage garage and remove a wheel).
Bad choices make great stories....!
Ah finally found one:

Laredo,
What hub measurement are you looking for?

Club MemberHe most likely wants the hubcentric measurement, but if there is other pertinent info, this wheel thread is the most likely place for people to look for it.

All Ford 5-lug disc brake hubs and wheels use a nominal diameter of 2.775". The hub is slightly smaller than this, while the wheel is slightly larger than this.

Thanks Jack and Pat. That is confirmed by photos below. So as long as I get lug-centric wheels with a hub size bigger than 2.775, I should be good to go, yes?

Laredo,
The height of the hub pilot and grease cap on the Fox hubs/rotors is fairly tall. Some of the SN95 wheels will not fit on them due to the low profile center cap on the wheels. I don't remember which ones.

Sooo what do you guys think? I plan on getting the sn95 spindles and lca do you think I could fit these? I am willing to roll the fenders

The offset is very close to stock (within 3mm), and if you go with the 8" width so should be able to fit without fender rolling. But with the 18" wheel you're going to need a very narrow sidewall (35 or 40 series) to keep your overall diameter somewhat close to stock, for both fit and appearance.

Well I would like the staggered look with the 9" in the back and 8s up front. Thank you!
