    Headlamp reconditioning

My headlamps (85.5 aero) are in need of some TLC, I have had great success with the lens restorer made by Sylvania, but after removing the assembly I saw that PO had "resealed" them, poorly. Water has tarnished the spray in chrome on the inside of the assembly and now I am looking for an option other than replacing them, unless anyone knows of a source that is reasonable in price. Is there a spray on chrome that people use for this application? Also is the part still available for the retainer hooks for the headlamp gasket?
Yep, I'm the guy doing a complete frame swap on my 85.5 to a vert.

Talk about re-learning all you ever learned about painting! Didn't the rule of thumb used to be to spray multiple lightt coats to not get runs? And now it's spray it on so close and thick that it is always dripping off?

And how much paint goes down the booth drain? Looks like about half.

I can easily see some shapes that will not take kindly to that painting method - like shapes that don't have a natural aero drop effect.
