How does the EEC 4 wiggle test for broken wires get done?

It looks for any rapid, short-duration change in signal (voltage) during the test and sets a flag (a code) if any are detected. On the technical side the Pre-87 4-cylinder models are running a CPU at 7.5Mhz and have one 10-bit A/D converter that time-shares between the assorted analog inputs.

So the "change" would probably need to me more than 5ms long to be detected - but that testing data has not been published, afaik.

I am aware what it does just not how to run it. My 86 SVO with LA3 by the way.
